Job summary

Avion Solutions Inc. in Huntsville, AL seeks a seasoned Full Stack Software Developer to design, build, and maintain modern C#/.NET web APIs and backend services for the Maneuver Air Directorate.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement RESTful APIs, integrate frontend components, and ensure security through the lifecycle, including testing, documentation, and deployment practices. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience building and supporting web applications.
• Strong experience developing, testing, and maintaining RESTful web APIs in the .NET ecosystem.
• Experience with relational databases, including querying, designing, and optimizing PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with software development best practices including testing, debugging, code reviews, and performance optimization.
• Experience with Git version control and a DevSecOps platform such as GitLab.
• Experience working with Docker or other containerization technologies.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain/maintain a DoW security clearance.
• Must be able to travel up to 15% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain modern C#/.NET web APIs and backend services.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, including data contracts, validation, and authentication/authorization mechanisms.
• Write unit, integration, and automated tests to ensure quality and reliability.
• Design and implement data access solutions using PostgreSQL.
• Support cybersecurity and data protection requirements throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Integrate front-end components with backend APIs and ensure reliable communication between layers.
• Document processes, techniques, and best practices for development and deployment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of API solutions into existing systems.
