Job summary

Hillsborough County is seeking a Senior Full-Stack .NET Web Developer to design and deliver scalable web applications. The role combines server-side C#/.NET with modern JavaScript frameworks, emphasizing security, performance, and accessible UI.

As a contractor working remotely, you will own API development, UI translation, and cloud deployments on Azure, mentor peers, and help shape best practices across the team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong C#/.NET (Core/Framework), including ASP.NET Core MVC/Razor Pages.
• Proficient in modern JavaScript/TypeScript with React, Angular, or Vue.
• Experience with SQL Server and SQL optimization.
• Azure experience: App Service, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain web apps using ASP.NET Core and modern JS frameworks.
• Build RESTful/GraphQL APIs and backend services in C#/.NET.
• Translate UI/UX designs into semantic HTML/CSS/JS.
• Architect scalable, secure web architectures and reusable UI patterns.
• Ensure WCAG 2.1 AA compliance and performance optimization.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Support Azure hosting and CI/CD deployments.
• Mentor junior developers and lead code reviews.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, optimize production performance.
