Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years' experience as Programmer 2 per City Labor Category.
• Bachelor's in CS/Software Engineering or GIS; Master’s a plus.
• 8+ years full stack .NET with C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core/9.0, MVC, EF, SQL Server, Azure.
• RESTful API development and integration experience.
• Geospatial data types in MS SQL Server, Oracle Spatial, PostgreSQL/PostGIS.
• Experience with MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle and geospatial databases.
• Web-based geospatial visualization and map library familiarity.
• Strong collaboration, leadership, and on-time delivery ability.
• Azure certifications are a plus; familiarity with Azure DevOps and ALM tools.
• Experience with Git/GitHub and release management; solid communication.

Responsibilities

• Identify, analyze, and develop interfaces and integration flows using Visual Studio Application platform.
• Develop and optimize databases with SQL Server for efficient storage and retrieval.
• Utilize Azure services to build scalable cloud-based applications (App Service, SQL DB, Functions).
• Collaborate with interface designers to connect UI with server logic.
• Integrate GIS data with enterprise systems to improve workflows.
• Manage, process, and analyze spatial data from diverse sources.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain quality and suggest improvements.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues to maintain stability.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and user guides.
• Ensure solutions comply with industry best practices and security protocols.
• Stay current with trends to propose innovations and improve processes.
• Communicate with team, stakeholders, and PMs to gather requirements and manage expectations.
• Prepare documentation and conduct knowledge transfer for adoption across city agencies.
