Job summary
Barnes & Noble, Inc. is seeking a Technical Analyst to design, develop, test, and deploy .NET applications supporting stores, website, and corporate office. You will gather requirements, document processes, and deliver scalable software solutions using Microsoft technologies.
Local candidates only; role requires on-site work in Westbury, NY with a starting salary in a competitive range.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical degree, or equivalent experience.
- Five years of working experience in Dot Net Programming.
- Five years of working experience with SQL Server and/or Oracle databases.
- Knowledge of Retail or Retail based systems a plus.
- Cobol a plus; Knowledge of EDI a plus.
Responsibilities
- Work with stakeholders to design and document user requirements.
- Maintain existing applications as well as develop new applications.
- Develop, test and implement code following best practices and coding standards.
- Collaborate with team members to build effective, scalable solutions.
- Participate in status meetings and communicate project status.
