Job summary

Kforce Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to support application modernization in a large enterprise environment. The role focuses on C#/.NET development, SQL, and CI/CD pipeline development with an emphasis on modernizing legacy applications.

Ideal candidates will have strong .NET Framework/NET Core experience and be comfortable supporting production applications. This is a fully remote, 12-month contract, requiring ability to work Central Time Zone hours.

Qualifications

• Strong professional experience with C# and .NET development.
• Experience with .NET Framework and/or .NET Core.
• Experience working with SQL and relational databases.
• Experience supporting applications in an enterprise or production environment.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and software deployment processes.
• Experience working with or modernizing legacy applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and modernize applications using C# and .NET
• Support applications built on .NET Framework and .NET Core
• Assist with modernization and migration of legacy applications, including .NET Framework 4.5-4.8 environments
• Develop and maintain SQL-based backend solutions
• Provide application support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution in an enterprise environment
• Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
• Support applications deployed through OpenShift
• Collaborate with development and engineering teams to improve application reliability, deployment efficiency, and maintainability
• Participate in troubleshooting and production support activities as needed
