DriveCentric, Inc. is seeking a senior backend engineer to own the email delivery and domain infrastructure for thousands of dealerships.

You will manage sending domains, DNS records, and provider integrations to ensure inbox delivery while building scalable, event-driven services feeding our CRM. You will work with Kafka-based pipelines, front-end Angular interfaces, and a suite of email platforms (SendGrid, Mandrill, Mailchimp) to support transactional, inbound, and price-change emails.

Formación

• 5+ years of C# .NET development experience.
• 3+ years with 3rd party API integrations.
• 3+ years with Microsoft SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL.
• Working knowledge of email infrastructure (SMTP, MIME, DNS records for email authentication).
• Experience with frontend frameworks, preferably Angular.
• Working knowledge of HTTP and webhook based integrations.
• Working knowledge of parallel and asynchronous programming techniques.
• Working knowledge of data exchange formats (JSON, XML).
• Experience with microservice and event-driven architecture.
• Exceptional communication, problem solving, and analytical skills.

Responsabilidades

• Own sending domain management for thousands of dealerships: store-specific and shared sending domains, DNS records, SPF/DKIM/DMARC, and a normalized source of truth for domain configuration.
• Protect deliverability and sender reputation. Diagnose DMARC failures, hard/soft bounces, and blocks; report on blocked mail by store.
• Architect and scale the Email Blast platform: batching, queues, scheduling, audience accuracy, partitioned tables, and blast metrics for reporting.
• Build and maintain services behind transactional, inbound, and price change emails.
• Integrate with email service providers (SendGrid, Mandrill, Mailchimp): API keys, subusers, webhooks, routing, compliance.
• Own APIs and event-driven pipelines (Kafka) that feed data back to the CRM.
• Navigate email compliance and abuse prevention: CAN-SPAM, CASL, FTC requirements, unsubscribe headers, opt-out handling, blocking malicious links.
• Design and develop customer and admin facing Angular UI for customer interactions and store management.
• Build testability into communication systems: simulated providers, webhook forwarding, automated unsubscribe/send tests, load simulators.
• Assist in identifying and resolving issues; perform root cause analysis on escalations.
• Keep services healthy: framework/library upgrades, security remediation, query tuning, retry/dead-letter handling, monitoring, alert tuning.
• Participate in story refinement, release planning, code reviews; deploy validated code to production.
