Job summary

Global Payments Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Express team, leading design of new features for a hybrid role with offices in Cincinnati, OH and Denver, CO.

You will mentor peers, guide cloud-native architectures, and collaborate across product, architecture, and DevOps to deliver scalable services. The role emphasizes hands-on design, distributed systems in cloud environments (Azure/AWS), microservices, and API development using .NET 6+.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/MIS or related field
• 7+ years delivering software solutions and 4+ years in system architecture and design for scalable enterprise apps
• Experience with Kafka and understanding business drivers
• Experience deploying and managing distributed applications on cloud platforms
• Strong Agile software development methodologies
• Experience designing and developing cloud-based solutions on Azure and AWS with microservices and API development using .NET 6+

Responsibilities

• Lead technical designs of new features and services across development, testing and release
• Collaborate with Product Management, Agile Release Train members, Architects, DevOps to choose best solutions
• Assist with live system issue investigations and propose root-cause solutions
• Mentor junior team members
• Attend SAFe/Agile ceremonies
• Assess architectural direction impact on Security, Availability, Performance, Maintainability and Scalability
• Interact with product managers/users to define system requirements and modifications
