Job summary

Global Payments Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Express team in a hybrid role based in Denver, CO. You will design and deliver high-quality features, collaborate across Product, Architects, DevOps and release trains, and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

7+ years delivering software solutions and 4+ years of architecture/design for scalable enterprise apps.
Hands-on Kafka experience and strong cloud deployment knowledge.
Proven experience deploying distributed applications on cloud platforms and deep Agile/Scrum/SAFe familiarity.

Responsibilities

Lead technical designs of new features and services, including investigations, code analysis and release.
Collaborate with Product Management, Agile Release Train members, Architects, DevOps and others across Worldpay to choose best solutions.
Investigate live system issues and propose root-cause fixes.
Mentor junior engineers on technical skills and best practices.
Attend SAFe/Agile ceremonies and align with program increments.
Assess impacts of architectural decisions on security, availability, performance, maintainability, and scalability.
Interact with product managers or users to define system requirements.
