Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for its Commercial & Investment Bank Healthcare Payments team in Irvine. You will be a core technical contributor, building trusted, scalable technology within an agile team to support the firm’s business objectives.

You will drive AI-assisted engineering practices, ensure secure coding standards, and collaborate across business functions to deliver high-quality production systems. Experience with .NET/C#, SQL, and modern SDLC is required.

Qualifications

Formal training or certification in software engineering with 5+ years of applied experience.
Leading projects end to end with cross-functional coordination and delivery from design to production.
Hands-on experience with .NET/C# for scalable, high-performance applications.
Experience writing, optimizing, and debugging complex SQL queries.
Experience using AI-assisted development tools with emphasis on correctness and security.
Familiarity with agile practices, CI/CD, security, and application resiliency.
In-depth knowledge of financial services IT systems.

Responsibilities

Executes AI-enhanced software solutions, design, development, and debugging across complex problems.
Plans and develops secure, production-grade code and reviews peers' work.
Drives adoption of enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices to improve quality and velocity.
Applies SDLC tools and AI-enabled automation to improve value delivery and testing.
Identifies automation opportunities to improve stability and reduce recurring issues.
Leads architecture evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams.
