Job summary

JPMorganChase & Co. in Irvine, CA, is seeking a Software Engineer III to join the Healthcare Payments team within Commercial & Investment Bank.

You will be a seasoned agile team member delivering secure, scalable technology products and critical solutions across multiple domains. You will design and implement production-grade code, contribute to architecture, and leverage AI-assisted development tools to boost quality and speed while adhering to security and resiliency practices.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
• Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools with demonstrated ability to evaluate outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows and secure handling of inputs/outputs.

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine approaches.
• Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with systems.
• Leverages enterprise AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, speed, and productivity; validates outputs via peer review and testing.
• Applies knowledge of SDLC tools to improve automation and value.
• Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensures design constraints are met.
• Gathers and analyzes data to visualize and report for continuous improvement of software applications.
