Job summary

Melon Local, a fast-growing digital marketing agency, seeks a Senior Software Engineer to shape AI-augmented development across a stack of Azure Functions, Web APIs, an ASP.NET MVC app, and a React frontend.

You’ll validate AI output, review code, and make architectural decisions without directing others, contributing as part of a peer engineering team. Hybrid remote in SLC/Las Vegas markets with occasional in-person collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional .NET engineering experience, including hands-on work in the last 12 months.
• Deep understanding of C#, .NET Core/.NET 8+, ASP.NET MVC, Web APIs, and Razor.
• Working knowledge of Entity Framework Core and SQL Server; understand indexing and execution plans.
• React experience for the customer-facing app.
• Comfort with Azure Functions or similar serverless patterns.
• Architectural intuition across multiple related services.

Responsibilities

• Envision and architect features across interconnected systems including Azure Functions, Web APIs, ASP.NET MVC web app, and a React client served by a .NET BFF.
• Direct AI tooling as the primary implementation method while reviewing AI-produced code.
• Make architectural decisions about cross-system integration and contracts between APIs and BFF.
• Debug end-to-end from React UI through BFF to SQL Server and back.
• Review AI-produced code for quality, drift, and pattern violations.
• Participate in architecture discussions and code reviews as part of a peer team.
