Job summary

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc. (SGA, Inc.) is seeking a Senior C#/.Net Developer with strong SQL performance tuning for a right-to-hire assignment.

This role is remote for EST time-zone candidates and involves taking ownership of an established product and making pragmatic improvements without rewriting the codebase. You will troubleshoot performance issues, optimize queries, and work with legacy applications using Kendo UI, jQuery, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS.

Qualifications

• Extensive C#/.NET development experience with SQL Server performance tuning.
• Strong debugging, tuning of queries, and understanding of execution plans.
• Experience with web tech (Kendo UI, jQuery, JavaScript, HTML/CSS) and web apps.
• Comfortable with legacy codebases and pragmatic, non-rewrite fixes.
• Proven ability to work independently and troubleshoot issues.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps and messaging architectures.

Responsibilities

• Own and enhance a mature .NET product with focus on performance.
• Diagnose bottlenecks across application, SQL, and infrastructure.
• Analyze and optimize SQL queries, indexing, and stored procedures.
• Troubleshoot issues and implement pragmatic improvements without rewrites.
