Job summary

Fuel Talent LLC is seeking a Senior SQL Server Developer to join a distributed scrum team in Seattle, WA. You will own the application’s SQL development, including stored procedures, dynamic SQL, data processing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization for a business-critical ETL application.

Responsibilities include building and optimizing SQL Server code, troubleshooting issues, supporting scheduled jobs with PowerShell and VisualCron, and collaborating with developers across the sprint

Qualifications

• 5+ years of SQL Server development experience.
• Advanced experience with T-SQL, stored procedures, dynamic SQL, and query optimization.
• Strong understanding of ETL processes and data movement.
• Experience troubleshooting SQL Server performance.
• Familiarity with PowerShell and job scheduling/automation tools.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize complex SQL Server stored procedures and queries.
• Build and support dynamic SQL used in ETL and data-processing workflows.
• Troubleshoot database issues, failed processes, and data-quality problems.
• Identify and resolve SQL Server performance bottlenecks.
• Support scheduled jobs and automated workflows using VisualCron and PowerShell.
• Collaborate with application developers and scrum team members.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, testing, and production support.
• Document database processes, dependencies, and technical solutions.
