Job summary

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA) is seeking a Senior C#/.NET Developer with strong SQL performance tuning for a remote-to-hire role. EST time zone; NC preferred but not required.

You will own an established product, diagnose performance bottlenecks, and implement pragmatic improvements without rewriting the product. The ideal candidate has extensive C#/.NET experience, IIS expertise, SQL Server tuning skills, and familiarity with Kendo UI, JavaScript, and web technologies.

Qualifications

• Strong C#/.NET development experience.
• Experience with IIS and production web applications.
• Deep SQL Server performance tuning experience.
• Experience with query optimization, indexing and stored procedures.
• Familiar with Kendo UI, jQuery, JavaScript, HTML/CSS.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and cloud messaging (Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ, Kafka).
• Ability to work independently and provide production support.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of an established product and debug efficiently.
• Improve performance and resolve database bottlenecks.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Work on event-driven architecture and asynchronous processing.
