Job summary

State of Ohio Department of Public Safety is seeking an experienced .NET Developer to collaborate with IT supervisors, project managers, and developers in an Agile environment. The role covers requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support for new and legacy applications.

The candidate will work with C#, ASP.NET Core MVC, Web API, Windows Forms, and SQL Server, applying N-tier architecture, EF, WCF/SOA, and reporting via SSRS/SSIS.

Qualifications

• 10+ years .NET web development experience, including 4+ years ASP.NET Core MVC.
• 10+ years ASP.NET development using C#.
• 10+ years SQL Server database development, including query optimization, tables, views, stored procedures, and functions.
• 10+ years TFS experience involving code repository, promotion, and recovery strategies.
• 10+ years Entity Framework (EF 4.0 or later).
• 10+ years .NET Framework 4.0+ web application development.
• 10+ years SOA/WCF, including developing and securing WCF.
• 10+ years N-tier architecture development and deployment.
• 5+ years Agile development using TFS/DevOps.
• 5+ years SSRS and SSIS development and MVC integration.
• 5+ years Visual Studio, including 2+ years Visual Studio 2019.
• 5+ years TFS/Azure DevOps, including Git, Boards, and CI/CD.
• 5+ years mobile-compliant application development.
• 2+ years REST API experience.
• 2+ years C# .NET Core or .NET 5.
• 2+ years TDD or application testing strategy experience.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze system/user requirements.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support applications.
• Develop and rewrite legacy applications using .NET technologies.
• Develop applications using C#, ASP.NET Core MVC, Web API, Windows Forms, and SQL Server.
• Implement N-tier architecture.
• Design and develop database objects, tables, views, stored procedures, and functions.
• Perform SQL query optimization and database development.
• Develop and secure WCF/SOA applications.
• Develop reports using SSRS and SSIS and integrate them with MVC applications.
• Work with TFS/Azure DevOps, Git, Boards, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in Agile development and testing activities.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to technical staff.
• Collaborate with project managers, developers, business teams, and supporting resources.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting.
• Manage priorities, deadlines, and assigned technical resources.
