Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a senior software engineer in Columbus, OH for a hybrid contract role. You will design and develop enterprise applications using the Microsoft tech stack, including ASP.NET Core, Blazor, and SQL Server.

The position requires experience with modern Microsoft tools, cloud services, and Agile practices. Responsibilities include requirements gathering, application development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support, with strong emphasis on SOA, REST APIs, and code quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT related field.
• 10+ years of .NET Framework development experience.
• 5+ years with ASP.NET Core and Blazor.
• 5+ years with JavaScript and CSS.
• 2+ years with .NET 8 and 4+ years with .NET 6.
• Strong SQL Server design, development and optimization skills.
• Experience with REST APIs and SOA architectures.
• Proficient in SOLID design principles and cloud solutions.
• Experience with Azure technologies and DevOps practices.
• Ability to work independently and in a team with code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop application software to meet business needs and product deliverables.
• Gather requirements, design, develop, test, deploy and support applications.
• Collaborate across teams to implement RESTful services and data access.
• Follow SOLID principles and modern Microsoft tech stack migrations.
• Develop reports and data access using SQL Server tools.
