Job summary

Installed Building Products (IBP) is seeking a Senior .NET Developer in Columbus, Ohio to own end-to-end features, improve production systems, and lead deployment automation. The role emphasizes collaborative communication with business and tech partners while leveraging AI-assisted coding tools responsibly.

We expect 5+ years in the .NET stack, strong C#/ASP.NET Core/EF Core, and experience with REST APIs and unit testing (NUnit/NSubstitute). A bachelor’s degree in CS or equivalent is required.

Installed Building Products (IBP) is actively seeking a Senior .NET Developer to join our team. IBP is one of the nation's largest insulation and building products installation contractors, with more than 10,000 employees across 260 locations nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the design and delivery of complex features end-to-end, from initial scoping through production, with minimal guidance.
• Maintain, enhance, and troubleshoot existing production systems.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, monitoring, and operational tooling.
• Evaluate new technologies and improve our software stack.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools responsibly to accelerate delivery while maintaining quality, security, and maintainability standards.
• Effectively communicate with business and technology partners.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, helping improve code quality, maintainability, and team development practices

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience demonstrating strong foundations in computer science and web development.
• 5+ years of technical experience in the .NET stack.
• Strong understanding of C#, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core, and REST APIs.
• Experience with unit testing and writing testable code; NUnit and NSubstitute preferred.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Blazor, React, or another front-end development ecosystem preferred.
• Experience with RDBMS; SQL Server preferred.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines; Azure DevOps preferred.
• Experience with Docker and Azure-based deployment environments.
• Experience with AI-assisted coding tools.
• Experience modernizing legacy applications, including .NET Framework and/or Classic ASP.

Education

Experience
