Charles Schwab is seeking a Software Development Engineer for the Transaction Posting System (TPS) in Austin. You will design and build scalable, reliable software for high-volume transaction processing and brokerage operations, collaborating with cross-functional teams on cloud-native architectures and platform modernization.

The role emphasizes modern engineering practices, AI-assisted tooling, and delivering measurable business impact with a focus on stability and performance in a on-site

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years of software development with .NET/C# and enterprise apps.
• Experience with APIs, distributed/microservices or event-driven systems.
• 1+ years containerized platforms (Kubernetes, Tanzu, PCF).
• 1+ years SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Strong OO, algorithms, data structures, and design principles.
• Experience with testing and automated test practices.
• Experience with GitHub/Jira and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with messaging systems like Kafka or similar.

• Design and build scalable solutions for high-volume transaction processing.
• Contribute to cloud-native architectures and platform modernisation.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, product owners and business partners.
