Job summary

Charles Schwab Corporation is seeking a Software Development Engineer for the Transaction Posting System (TPS) in Austin to design, build, and operate scalable, cloud-enabled services. You will work on high-volume transaction processing, modernizing platforms, and enabling resilient, observable software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of software development experience leveraging .NET and C# to design, build, test, and support enterprise applications.
• Experience with APIs, distributed systems, microservices, or event-driven architectures.
• 1+ years with containerized platforms like Kubernetes, Tanzu, PCF or similar.
• 1+ years with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Strong object-oriented programming, algorithms, data structures, and design principles.
• Experience creating and maintaining unit tests, integration tests, and automated testing practices.
• Experience with GitHub, Jira, Rally, CI/CD pipelines or similar tools.
• Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka, MQ, or similar.
• Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and perform root-cause analysis across complex systems.
• Proven collaboration across engineering, architecture, product, and business teams.
