Job summary

Charles Schwab is seeking a Software Development Engineer for the Transaction Posting System (TPS) team in Texas. The role focuses on building scalable, reliable software that powers high-volume transaction processing and brokerage operations, with emphasis on cloud-native and event-driven architectures.

You will collaborate across engineering, architecture, product, and business teams, applying modern practices and AI-assisted development tools to drive performance, resiliency, and operational

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of software development experience with .NET and C#.
• Experience with APIs, distributed systems, microservices, or event-driven architectures.
• 1+ years containerized platforms such as Kubernetes, Tanzu, PCF, or similar.
• 1+ years SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Strong object-oriented design, algorithms, data structures.
• Experience with unit tests, integration tests, and CI/CD practices.
• Experience using GitHub, Jira, or Rally in software delivery.
• Experience with messaging systems like Kafka.
• Proven problem solver and cross-functional collaborator.
