Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer in Medicare Technology to design and deliver enterprise-scale solutions. You will lead technical direction, mentor engineers, and drive DevSecOps and modern full-stack practices.

You will work across teams to implement scalable, secure software and improve healthcare outcomes, with a focus on Blazor, REST, microservices, and cloud-native architectures.

Qualifications

• 7+ years work experience.
• Expertise designing, developing, and supporting enterprise web apps using C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core.
• Experience building modern web apps using Blazor and front-end tech.
• Full-stack development including services, APIs, databases, and UI.
• Advanced MS SQL skills: data modeling, queries, tuning.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Cloud experience with Azure/AWS/GCP.
• CI/CD with GitHub Actions; DevSecOps practices.
• Strong design patterns, secure coding, testing, monitoring.
• Lead design reviews, mentor developers, drive improvements.
• Agile/Scrum collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with CoPilot and MCP servers for complex workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement digital solutions; architect and code software; test and debug; collaborate across teams.
• Design scalable solutions that meet business requirements and quality standards.
• Contribute to architecture discussions with architects and senior engineers.
• Evaluate feasibility, performance, and scalability of solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and enforce coding standards and quality.
• Communicate with team members to align and share technical insights.
• Adopt best practices and new technologies to improve productivity and quality.
• Share knowledge through code reviews, talks, and workshops.
• Work with teammates to implement complex features and ensure high-quality code.
• Mentor junior developers to grow technical skills.
