Job summary

Auctane is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to architect and build scalable backend systems powering the ShipStation API. You will work across the stack, implement RESTful services, mentor engineers, and influence architectural decisions in a hybrid role based in Austin, TX.

You will design backend services with C#, .NET, and AWS, emphasize code quality, CI/CD, and DevOps practices, and collaborate with frontend teams while exploring AI-assisted development responsibly.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of backend development experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science.
• Proven track record of building and scaling production applications.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to use AI tools responsibly to enhance productivity.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain scalable backend services and microservices using C# and .NET.
• Create and consume secure REST APIs for frontend/mobile consumption.
• Design, query, and optimize relational databases (SQL/NoSQL).
• Conduct rigorous code reviews and enforce engineering standards.
• Provide mentorship to mid-level and junior developers.
• Collaborate on CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments (AWS).
• Develop unit and integration tests to ensure reliability.
