Job summary

CVS Health in Austin, Texas is seeking a Sr. Software Development Engineer to help modernize the Clinical Authorization System into a scalable, cloud-ready platform.

You will own hands-on full-stack work using .NET Core and Angular, delivering robust APIs and responsive UI components across CAS workflows. Collaborate with Product, UX, QA, DevSecOps, and SRE teams to drive secure, reliable software, align with architectural roadmaps, and pursue CI/CD excellence while exploring AI/automation

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with .NET/.NET Core (C#) and Angular.
• Experience building full-stack applications (UI, APIs, services).
• Solid understanding of API design, system design, and distributed systems fundamentals.
• Experience with SQL Server and relational databases.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Agile development practices.
• Healthcare/pharmacy or regulated environments (HIPAA) experience (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree (required); Master’s preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop full-stack applications using .NET/.NET Core and Angular.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Develop responsive UI components aligned with UX standards.
• Modernize CAS from monolithic to cloud-ready services.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Ensure security, reliability, and performance.
• Collaborate with Product, UX, QA, DevSecOps, and SRE teams.
