Job summary

Auctane is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to architect and build scalable backend systems powering the ShipStation API. You will work across the stack, focusing on robust RESTful services, microservices, and data design.

The role requires strong C#, .NET, AWS experience, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in a hybrid Austin, TX setting. You will mentor peers, participate in code reviews, and drive best practices across the team while delivering high-performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• 4+ years backend development with production-scale apps.
• Proven ability to architect and scale services.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers.
• Experience with AI-assisted tooling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement backend services and APIs serving millions of requests.
• Architect scalable backend systems and microservices in .NET stack.
• Collaborate with frontend, QA, and SRE for end-to-end delivery.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to code reviews and best practices.
• Manage DevOps tasks and cloud deployments (AWS).
