Job summary

First Horizon Bank is seeking a Senior Software Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain scalable enterprise applications. This hands-on role involves mentoring developers, leading tech initiatives, and collaborating with end users to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities include building REST APIs, UI in Angular/Blazor, and optimizing SQL Server databases. Strong communication, agile experience, and a customer-focused mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or software engineering.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience with Microsoft .NET, C#, Angular, Blazor, and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience building REST APIs and service-oriented applications.
• Experience with message queue technologies such as RabbitMQ, MSMQ, or IBM MQ.
• Experience using Git and GitHub for source control.
• Experience with Azure DevOps including repos, pipelines, work items, and release management.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and software design patterns.
• Experience developing secure, scalable, and maintainable enterprise applications.
• Experience leading technical initiatives or serving as technical lead on projects.
• Experience with Agile practices and tools such as Jira.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise web applications.
• Participate in architecture design, technical design reviews, and code reviews.
• Develop modern UIs using Angular and Blazor.
• Build RESTful APIs and backend services using Microsoft .NET.
• Design and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases, queries, stored procedures, and indexing.
• Develop distributed applications using RabbitMQ or Azure Service Bus.
• Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Lead technical projects and mentor other developers.
• Participate in Agile planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term fixes.
• Write clean, well-documented, thoroughly tested code.
