Job summary

First Horizon Bank is seeking a Senior Software Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain scalable enterprise applications. You will mentor developers, lead technology initiatives, and work closely with end users to deliver high-quality software solutions.

The role focuses on building modern UIs with Angular/Blazor, RESTful services using .NET, and efficient SQL Server data access in a collaborative, agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT or software engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience with .NET, C#, Angular, Blazor, SQL Server.
• Experience building REST APIs and service-oriented applications.
• Experience with message queues such as RabbitMQ, MSMQ or IBM MQ.
• Git and GitHub for source control.
• Azure DevOps including repositories, pipelines, work items, and releases.
• Strong OOP principles and design patterns.
• Experience developing secure, scalable enterprise applications.
• Experience leading technical initiatives or as tech lead.
• Experience with Agile practices and Jira.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise web applications.
• Participate in architecture design, code reviews.
• Develop modern UIs using Angular and Blazor.
• Build RESTful APIs and backend services using .NET.
• Design and optimize MS SQL Server databases and indexing.
• Develop distributed apps using message queues (RabbitMQ/Azure Service Bus).
• Collaborate with business users to translate needs into technical solutions.
• Lead technical projects and guide other developers.
• Participate in Agile planning, sprints, retrospectives.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term fixes.
• Write clean, well-documented, tested code.
