Job summary

Vertex is seeking a Senior Medical Science Liaison (Sr MSL) in Nephrology (IgAN and AMKD) to serve as a scientific liaison to the medical and academic community in the Boston area. You will establish and maintain relationships with HCPs to disseminate clinical and scientific information and help shape the medical plan and strategy.

The role requires an advanced biomedical degree and at least 4 years of MSL or related Medical Affairs experience, with nephrology expertise preferred.

Qualifications

• Advanced biomedical or life sciences degree required.
• Minimum 4 years of MSL experience in Nephrology or related Medical Affairs role.
• Experience with nephrology or related clinical areas preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains relationships with nephrology TLs and HCPs.
• Incorporates SEM into interactions and territory planning.
• Uses CRM/data analytics to capture and leverage engagement data.
• Discusses clinical information credibly with external stakeholders.
• Understands payer landscape and its impact on patient access.
• Represents Vertex at medical congresses and supports abstracts/sessions.
