Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated is seeking a Senior Medical Science Liaison to serve as a scientific liaison to the medical and academic community in the United States. The Sr MSL will build relationships with HCPs, contribute to the medical plan, and respond to scientific inquiries with Vertex resources.

The role involves extensive travel (up to 70%), interactions at congresses, and collaborative work with clinical development and operations to support the medical strategy and data

Qualifications

• Advanced biomedical or life sciences degree (Masters/NP/PA)
• Typically 5+ years as an MSL or in medical affairs in pharma/biotech
• Experience in designated therapeutic area helpful

Responsibilities

• Builds relationships with Thought Leaders and HCPs to enable scientific engagement across a large CF care network
• Integrates SEM into field interactions and territory planning
• Supports medical plan feedback via CRM and analytics to guide strategy
• Represents Vertex at medical congresses with scientific coverage and TL interactions
• Mentors colleagues and ensures compliant activities and timely administrative tasks
