Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals LLC is seeking a Senior Medical Science Liaison to serve as a scientific liaison to the medical and academic communities, building relationships with HCPs to disseminate clinical data responsibly and ethically. This role helps shape the medical plan by incorporating external insights and coordinating with internal teams on strategy.

The Sr MSL will engage with Thought Leaders in sickle cell, thalassemia, and transplant communities, travel up to 70%, and ensure timely,

Qualifications

• Advanced biomedical or life sciences degree required; PhD/MD/PharmD preferred.
• Typically requires 5+ years of MSL or medical affairs experience in pharma/biotech.

Responsibilities

• Builds and maintains scientific relationships with HCPs and Thought Leaders in hematology and transplantation.
• Contributes to medical plan by providing external insights and shaping Medical Affairs strategy.
• Represents Vertex at congresses with scientific session coverage and TL interactions.
• Ensures compliant communications of scientific data and IB content to external stakeholders.
