Job summary

Charles River Laboratories, Inc. is seeking an experienced necropsy technician to independently perform necropsy procedures and generate data across reproductive and general toxicity studies. You will train and mentor less experienced staff and contribute to department operations improvements.

Responsibilities include reviewing SOPs, assisting audits, and participating in cross‑departmental training. Requirements include a high school or GED, a biology degree preferred, and 2+ years of necropsy

Qualifications

• 2+ years necropsy, post‑mortem, or autopsy lab experience.
• HT (ASCP) or HTL (ASCP) certification preferred.
• Ability to follow SOPs, GLPs and study requirements.
• Strong data recording and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform specialized necropsy procedures.
• Cross-train in other pathology areas as needed.
• Review lab documents for accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare responses to audits and deviations.
• Train personnel in specialized techniques and procedures.
