Job summary

MISTRAS Group, Inc. is seeking a Non-Destructive Testing Advanced Technician based out of Savannah, GA or Jacksonville, FL, with IRIS, Neardrum, and crawler experience. The role includes setting up inspection equipment, performing tests, and documenting results.

Candidates should have an NDT technical program meeting SNT-TC1A for PAUT or AUT, and either a Level II certification or equivalent with experience. Willingness to travel and safety-aware performance are essential.

Qualifications

High School graduate or equivalent required.
TWIC card current or eligible.
Graduate of a specialized NDT technical program meeting SNT-TC1A for PAUT or AUT.
Prior certification as UTSW NDE Level II with 1 year experience or Level II per SNT-TC1A on PAUT/UTSW.
Experience with IRIS inspections.
Experience operating Neardrum equipment.
Experience with Tank and Paper machine AUT inspections.
Proficient in ultrasonic thickness data collection and interpretation.
Ability to work safely in industrial facilities (power generation, pulp and paper).
Strong understanding of NDT procedures and industry standards.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Additional certifications are a plus.
Ability to travel.
Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

Set up and calibrate equipment.
Conduct tests with appropriate NDT technique(s).
Interpret, evaluate and document results.
Familiar with scope and limitations of the certified method and supervise trainees/Level I personnel.
Familiar with codes, standards and contractual documents controlling the method.
Work with minimal supervision.
Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
Edit and present numerical data effectively.
