Job summary

MISTRAS Group, Inc. seeks a Non-Destructive Testing Advance Technician with IRIS / Neardrum / Crawler experience for a full-time role based out of Savannah, GA or Jacksonville, FL. The position supports inspection campaigns across power, pulp and paper, and related industrial facilities.

Responsibilities include setting up and calibrating equipment, performing UT/NDT tests, interpreting data, and documenting results per codes and client requirements. Travel and valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Current TWIC Card or eligibility to get approved.
• Graduate of a specialized NDT technical program meeting SNT-TC1A for PAUT and/or AUT.
• UTSW NDE Level II certification on PAUT/UTS capacites per SNT-TC1A.
• Experience with IRIS inspections.
• Experience operating Neardrum equipment.
• Experience with Tank and Paper machine AUT inspections.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate equipment.
• Conduct tests with appropriate NDT techniques.
• Interpret, evaluate and document results.
• Be familiar with the codes, standards and contractual documents controlling the method.
• Work with minimal supervision and direct trainees.
