Job summary

Accelera Staffing in Kinston, North Carolina seeks an NDI Technician (TD3000) for an initial 3-month assignment. This position focuses on non-destructive testing using ultrasonic methods and a variety of inspection techniques to verify material integrity.

You will configure and calibrate NDI equipment, document findings, mentor junior staff, participate in procedure development, and ensure compliance with NAS 410 and IICNONIT01 standards. The worksite is on-site at 2600 Aerosystems Blvd.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a relevant field with minimum 3 years of applicable experience.
• Level 1 Ultrasonic Testing Certification with 40 hours of formal training.
• 800 hours On-the-Job training in Ultrasonic Testing.
• NAS 410 certification.
• Compliance with IICNONIT01 standards.

Responsibilities

• Apply specialized analysis methods to assess the integrity of systems, components and materials.
• Verify components and processes meet engineering specs using NDI methods (ultrasonic, eddy current, radiography, liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, thermography, stereography).
• Configure and calibrate NDI hardware, process components, determine acceptance or rejection, and record findings.
• Develop inspection techniques based on established procedures to ensure consistent results.
• Execute system performance evaluations to maintain reliable operational standards.
• Mentor and oversee junior staff to support team development.
• Monitor inspection processes through audits and report deviations from specs.
• Interpret codes and contractual requirements to ensure compliance across NDT methods.
• Provide technical leadership including equipment maintenance and personnel oversight.
• Draft and validate technical procedures for operational needs.
• Coordinate training, testing, and formal certification of team members.
