Job summary

AAA United States Inc in Kinston, NC is seeking an experienced NDI Technician with Ultrasonic Testing expertise to support aerospace manufacturing, maintenance, repair, and overhaul programs. This role focuses on nondestructive evaluation of aircraft components and assemblies, ensuring compliance with engineering and quality requirements.

You will set up and calibrate UT equipment, perform UT methods (PAUT, pulse-echo, shear wave, through-transmission), document findings, and assist with

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a related technical discipline with 3 years of related experience.
• Experience performing Ultrasonic Testing (UT) in aerospace/manufacturing environments.
• Experience with UT methods: Phased Array, Pulse-Echo, Shear Wave, Through-Transmission.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, procedures.
• Strong nondestructive testing knowledge and documentation skills.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform nondestructive inspections to evaluate materials and components without damage.
• Perform Ultrasonic Testing using PAUT, Pulse-Echo, Shear Wave, and Through-Transmission.
• Calibrate and operate UT equipment per procedures and specs.
• Document inspection results and nonconformities per quality requirements.
• Provide guidance and training to NDI personnel as required.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
