Job summary

Duke Energy seeks a Sr. NDE Technical Support Specialist with nuclear Level III expertise to mentor staff, review inspections, and ensure compliance with NDE procedures and codes. The role involves leading training, certification, and QA oversight across Duke sites.

The position requires substantial nuclear experience, the ability to travel, and strong collaboration with auditors, engineers, and regulatory bodies to maintain safety and quality.

Qualifications

• NDE Level III certification maintenance and oversight.
• Ability to mentor and review NDE Tech Support Specialists.
• Experience interpreting ASTM/ANSI/ASME codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Establish and approve NDE techniques and procedures, mentoring staff.
• Oversee NDE Tech Support Specialists and maintain certifications and training.
• Develop and maintain NDE implementation documents per nuclear standards.
• Provide Level III oversight for field inspections and NDE technicians.
• Travel to Duke nuclear sites for on-site oversight and reviews.
