Relativity Space, Inc. is seeking a Senior NDE Inspector specialized in radiography for a second shift in Long Beach, CA. Bring 5+ years of aerospace RT experience and Level II RT credentials to perform advanced radiographic inspections on complex hardware.

You will collaborate with RT Specialists, engineers, and manufacturing teams to resolve inspection challenges, develop techniques, and produce detailed reports. Travel is required for site support and audits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of aerospace RT experience.
• Formal NDE classroom training in Radiographic Testing (RT) and a current IRRSP or equivalent certification.
• Level II RT NAS 410, SNT-TC-1A or equivalent certification with verifiable records.
• Experience performing film radiography (CR) and/or digital radiography (DR) on complex hardware.
• Experience interpreting radiographic images and evaluating welds, discontinuities, and acceptance criteria.
• Strong knowledge of RT principles, IQIs, exposure parameters, geometry, and image quality requirements.
• Experience performing RT in cabinet, vault, or field environments with ionizing radiation.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specs, and inspection plans.
• Ability to independently execute RT techniques and produce inspection reports.
• Strong computer skills for inspection documentation and reporting.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and endure extended inspection periods.
• Willingness to travel ~10–25%.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced RT inspections on aerospace hardware using film and digital radiographic techniques in cabinet, vault, and field environments.
• Collaborate with RT Specialists, NDE Engineers, manufacturing, and quality to resolve inspection challenges and support POD studies and qualification plans.
• Interpret radiographic images and determine acceptance according to drawings, specs, procedures, and criteria.
• Develop, document, validate, and publish part-specific RT techniques for various hardware configurations.
• Demonstrate strong understanding of applicable NDE procedures, inspection plans, standards, and customer requirements.
• Generate clear inspection reports with radiographic image-analysis results.
• Troubleshoot RT processes and equipment to maintain reliable inspection capability.
• Provide mentorship to Level I/II NDE personnel on technique execution and image interpretation.
• Communicate inspection results and concerns with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams.
• Support continuous improvement of RT inspection processes for reliability and throughput.
