Job summary

NDI Engineering Company is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support our team in Thorofare, NJ. The ideal candidate will lead HM&E design projects for Navy ship systems, delivering concept through field readiness and ensuring compliance with Navy standards.

The role requires 15 years of mechanical engineering experience, 10 years in Navy HM&E, US citizenship, and the ability to obtain DoD security clearance, with strong leadership and communications skills.

Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain DoD clearance.
Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree required.
15+ years of professional experience; 10+ years in mechanical engineering for Navy HM&E.
Excellent leadership and communications skills.

Responsibilities

Lead design projects from concept through detailed engineering, prototyping, and field validation.
Mentor junior engineers and drive HM&E design innovation to meet schedule and scope.
Create technical drawings and document packages for project records and approvals.
Review design data packages, mechanical test results, and installation drawings against requirements.
