Job summary

Serco is seeking a Non-Propulsion Electronics Senior Navy Project Lead with extensive experience in U.S. Navy acquisition programs, submarine payload systems, and related electronics. The role focuses on technical and programmatic leadership across a multidisciplinary team delivering Virginia-Class and Columbia-Class payload systems.

Must be able to obtain a DoW Secret clearance. Travel up to 25% and collaboration with Navy, industry, and government partners are essential to drive timely

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Physics, Chemistry, or related field
• Minimum 8 years supporting U.S. Navy acquisition programs or related defense programs
• Experience in program management, leadership, systems integration, or similar roles
• Experience with submarine electronics, combat systems, payload systems, or mission-critical submarine systems
• Strong understanding of systems engineering, integration, test, certification, risk management, and QA processes
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate timely completion of program assignments.
• Serve as primary Systems Integration and Test Lead for integration, risk assessment, production, QA, and test activities.
• Develop processes to monitor and communicate program risks, performance, quality, and progress.
• Identify and resolve conflicts related to system specs, design, development, and delivery.
• Develop risk mitigation strategies to meet Navy, DoD, and program requirements.
• Provide training, policy guidance, and risk-management approaches.
• Review technical and programmatic docs for accuracy and compliance.
• Communicate clearly with stakeholders across the submarine enterprise.
• Collaborate with government, engineering, shipbuilding, and industry partners on issues.
• Track program metrics and drive corrective actions as needed.
• Lead testing and certification activities for payload systems.
• Support program reviews, technical interchange meetings, and leadership briefings.
• Offer technical recommendations to inform decisions and ensure delivery
