Job summary

Serco Inc. seeks a Senior Navy Project Lead focused on non-propulsion electronics for Virginia-Class and Columbia-Class payload systems. You will lead cross-functional teams across design, integration, testing, and certification to ensure on-time delivery and technical excellence.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain a U.S. DoW Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Physics, Chemistry, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Navy acquisition programs or related defense programs.
• Experience in program management, leadership, systems integration, or related leadership role.
• Experience with submarine electronics or related mission-critical systems.
• Strong understanding of systems engineering, test, certification, risk management, and QA.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate timely completion of program assignments aligned with objectives.
• Serve as Systems Integration and Test Lead, overseeing integration, risk, production, QA, and test activities.
• Develop processes to monitor risks, production performance, system quality, and progress.
• Identify and resolve conflicts across specifications, design, development, and delivery.
• Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies in compliance with Navy/DoD policies.
• Provide training, policy guidance, and risk-management approaches for program execution.
• Review documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Provide clear oral and written communication to stakeholders across the enterprise.
• Liaise with managers across administrative, engineering, technical, manufacturing, quality, and certification groups.
• Track and report program metrics and trends; drive corrective actions.
• Lead and coordinate testing and certification activities for payload systems.
• Collaborate with government, engineering, shipbuilding, manufacturing, and industry partners.
• Support program reviews, technical interchange meetings, and senior leadership briefings.
• Provide technical recommendations and programmatic insight for decisions.
