Job summary

Kearfott Corporation in Pine Brook, NJ seeks a Staff Algorithm Engineer to lead development and verification of advanced navigation and localization algorithms for aerospace and defense systems. You will work with MATLAB/Simulink, Monte Carlo analysis, and hardware-in-the-loop testing to ensure rigorous algorithm performance.

Role emphasizes model-based workflows, sensor fusion, and integration with embedded platforms.

Qualifications

• MS or higher in Engineering (Aerospace, Controls, or Estimation); PhD preferred.
• Minimum 7+ years of experience in algorithm development, verification and delivery.
• Must be a US Citizen and able to work onsite in Pine Brook, NJ.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, analysis, verification, and implementation of advanced navigation and localization algorithms.
• Mentor less-experienced engineers and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Develop and maintain Monte Carlo simulations, covariance analyses, and testing tools.
• Support auto-code generation and deployment of algorithms to embedded platforms.
• Review algorithm models, code, test results, and documentation.
