Job summary

Obsidian Solutions Group is seeking a Naval SWO (SME) to support the Marine Corps Tactics and Operations Group (MCTOG) with advanced training, certification and readiness planning for GCE operations. You will contribute to joint naval training, adapt to evolving navy-marine concepts, and present expert analyses to Marine officers and staffs.

The role requires a Top Secret eligible clearance, travel for training, and close collaboration with EXCON and MCTOG.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 15 years of relevant experience required.
• Master’s degree in information systems, operations research, management, military science, or relevant areas is desired.
• Qualification as a Tactical Action Officer of a Surface Navy Combatant, with a solid understanding of Composite Warfare required.
• Completion of Command & Staff College or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Support MCTOG exercise design in Naval operations from a Naval Surface Warfare perspective.
• Assist Battle Staff and student planning with Naval Integration and Surface Warfare concepts.
• Assist in five phases of amphibious assault forcible entry operations.
• Present perspectives on current and future naval issues to GCE components.
• Provide Navy perspective on topics like CWC, CRUDES, Sea Basing, MOC and related areas.
• Contribute to education across Amphibious operations, Surface Warfare, MAGTF/Naval Fires.
• Analyze Future Operating Environment with current and future adversary capabilities.
• Attend conferences and prepare trip reports for Navy-related topics.
• Develop classroom instruction for MCTOG Academic Program and Battle Staff Training.
