Job summary

Obsidian Solutions Group is seeking a Naval Surface Warfare Officer (SWO) SME to support the Marine Corps Tactics and Operations Group (MCTOG) in Twentynine Palms, CA. The role focuses on designing naval operations, joint concepts, and exercise control to strengthen Marine Corps/Navy integration across training events.

The position requires a strong naval background, advanced education in relevant fields, and a willingness to travel. Some telework is authorized from the Southern California area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Master’s degree desired in relevant fields.
• Qualified as Tactical Action Officer of a Surface Navy Combatant preferred.
• Staff Tactical Action Officer of a Destroyer Squadron highly desired.
• MSOC at Newport, RI desired.
• Command & Staff College or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Support MCTOG exercise design in Naval operations from a Naval Surface Warfare perspective.
• Assist Battle Staff and student planning with Naval Integration and Surface Warfare concepts.
• Support planning in amphibious assault operations.
• Provide Navy perspectives on conceptual issues and topics relevant to MCTOG.
