Job summary

MAK Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer with naval simulation experience to join our engineering team in Orlando, Cambridge, or remote work. You will develop, integrate, and test high-fidelity simulation systems supporting naval warfare modeling, training, and operational analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 5–7 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with naval or maritime simulation systems.
• Proficiency in C++, C#, or Java.
• Familiarity with HLA/DIS/SISO standards.
• Understanding of naval operations or warfare tactics.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software components for naval simulation systems.
• Implement models for naval vessels, sensors, weapons, and environments.
• Integrate simulation software with real-time or synthetic environments.
• Work with frameworks such as HLA or DIS.
• Perform testing, debugging, and validation in standalone and integrated environments.
• Participate in design reviews and documentation efforts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including systems engineers, analysts, and managers.
