Job summary

Mission Technologies, a division of HII, seeks a Marine Electronics Technician to support PM trades teams on Naval vessels. You will remove, install, and upgrade industrial systems and equipment aboard US Navy ships, using blueprints and technical documents.

The role requires hands-on electrical work, reading schematics, and maintaining high standards of safety. Travel up to 75% with per diem when on contract, with potential overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or trade school or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain DoD security clearance and maintain it.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Domestic and international travel 50–75% when not local.
• Experience with shipboard electrical distribution systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, remove, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical systems aboard naval vessels.
• Read and follow blueprints, engineering sketches, and technical manuals.
• Inspect work to ensure conformance to specifications and safety procedures.
• Plan and lay out cable routes and install cables, conduits, and related equipment.
• Complete quality documentation and reporting for work performed.
