Job summary

Mission Technologies, a division of HII, seeks a Marine Interior Communications (IC) Electrician to diagnose and repair shipboard interior communication systems on 1MC, 3MC, and 5MC aboard Naval ships. This full-time, on-site role is located in Norfolk, VA and requires base access credentials.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance with electrical test equipment, read Navy drawings, and mentor Navy sailors in troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• High School or Trade School required with relevant experience.
• Experience troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing electrical and interior communication systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, blueprints, and schematics to ensure safety and system integrity.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair faults in shipboard interior communication systems (1MC, 3MC, 5MC).
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance using electrical test equipment and hand tools.
• Interpret drawings, schematics, blueprints, and Navy manuals to guide repairs.
• Verify wiring, equipment placement, and configurations per Navy standards and safety requirements.
• Train Navy sailors in troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical and IC systems.
• Interface with customers and manage subcontractors while providing work direction.
