Job summary

The M.C. Dean, Inc. Maritime Division seeks skilled technicians to support C4ISR installations on ships and submarines, working as part of Alteration Installation Teams in San Diego, CA and Norfolk, VA.

You will read Navy drawings, install cabling and equipment, and use tools like spectrum analyzers, voltmeters, and cable testers. Travel to other shipyards is possible; US citizenship and clearance eligibility required.

Qualifications

• Formal two-year or more contractor apprenticeship with training in electrical theory and related fields.
• Four years of U.S. military service with specified technical ratings.
• Associate degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, or Information Technology.

Responsibilities

• Support cabling, equipment, and device installations as part of a team.
• Read Navy ship installation drawings, diagrams, blueprints, and cable sheets.
• Operate installation hand tools and test equipment including spectrum analyzers and meters.
• Attach fiber optic connectors and network cables, ensuring neat, professional finishes.
• Lead complex mechanical, sub-assembly, rack and chassis work.
• Uphold safety and workmanship standards in mission-critical environments.
• Overtime as needed; safeguard equipment and inventory; schedule jobs.
