Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. in Florida seeks a Senior Natural Resources Scientist to support energy transition projects across Boca Raton, Jacksonville, Pensacola, or Tampa. You will lead environmental permitting, NEPA compliance, and coordination with USACE, FDEP, and other agencies.

This role offers project management, business development, client engagement, and mentoring junior staff within a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of environmental permitting and natural resources consulting.
• Experience with Florida permitting programs and agencies.
• Experience conducting wetland delineations and field investigations.
• Strong technical writing, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to travel periodically across Florida and the southeastern United States.
• Mentoring and leading multidisciplinary project teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental permitting efforts for wetlands, waters, and coastal resources.
• Prepare permit applications and coordinate with USACE, FDEP, and other agencies.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client communications.
• Develop work plans, collect environmental data, and present findings to clients/regulators.
• Contribute to business development, proposals, and client relationships.
• Mentor junior scientists and environmental professionals.
