Job summary

The U.S. Department of the Interior seeks a Supervisory Resource Management Specialist (GS-0401-13) in Saint John, Virgin Islands.

The role directs stewardship and science programs for natural and cultural park resources and represents the Superintendent on resource stewardship matters. You will lead implementation of natural, cultural, wilderness, and recreation resource policies, manage long-range budgeting and planning, and set annual and multi-year work plans for resource management, while

Qualifications

Ability to lead or supervise a team and manage diverse resource programs.
Strong knowledge of cultural and natural resource management.
Experience in planning, evaluating, and program management.
Experience coordinating budgeting and long-range planning.

Responsibilities

Oversees stewardship and science programs for natural and cultural park resources.
Represents the Superintendent on resource stewardship matters.
Leads implementation of resource policies across natural, cultural, wilderness, and recreation resources.
Manages long-range budgeting, planning, and mitigation project action plans.
Sets annual and multi-year work plans for resource management activities.
Supervises permanent and seasonal staff involved in natural and cultural resource work.
