Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in natural resource management, environmental resources, biological sciences, environmental studies or closely related field.
• Two years experience in an organization similar to County Parks and Recreation Department applying resource management knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and coordinates resource management policies, procedures, plans and projects with partners.
• Coordinates long-range strategic planning for department-wide natural resources and ecosystems.
• Develops and implements natural resource programs for wildlife, vegetation, geology and aquatic ecosystems.
• Builds a library of resource management literature for department-wide use.
• Identifies potential grant funding projects and assists with proposals related to resource management.
• Prepares and administers operation budget for the Natural Resource Management Program.
• Establishes baselines of natural resources and monitors resource conditions.
• Liaises with resource management agencies and participates in public meetings.
• Supervises, coordinates, assigns, trains, reviews, and evaluates staff.
