Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking experienced leaders to serve as Natural Gas Power Permitting Senior Project Managers and Seller/Doers on a national basis to grow our conventional energy practice, supporting projects from concept to completion.

The role combines client development with technical leadership, leading permitting for complex gas-fired plants and coordinating cross-functional teams across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or graduate degree in environmental, chemical, or mechanical engineering, environmental sciences, urban/regional planning, environmental policy, environmental studies, and/or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience with account management, business development, environmental assessments and federal, state, and local regulatory compliance/permitting in the US.
• Must have existing client relationships in the conventional energy generation market and a proven track record of winning new work.
• Working knowledge of planning, permitting, design and construction related to gas-fired power plant facilities.
• Strong leadership and ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision, prioritizing and planning effectively.

Responsibilities

• Expand existing gas-fired power plant client accounts with managers and market leads.
• Develop and grow new gas-fired power plant clients (utilities or developers).
• Lead a team focused on gas-fired power plant development and related support.
• Participate in marketing and business development activities: proposals, presentations, trade shows, meetings, and materials.
• Collaborate nationally to identify and develop project teams.
• Deliver safe, quality, profitable, and sustainable projects.
